I run on RPCS3 emulator.

 

Are emulators allowed on srcom?

-Yes

 

Does this run flawlessly on your emulator?

-Almost, there are some hiccups here and there, but other than that it does. I have i5-6600k 3.5GHz (OC'd to 4.1GHz), GTX 960, 8GB RAM, emu and game on HDD.

 

Why emu over console?

-Because it has faster loads even on HDD (no SSD or digital version required), no need to finish a run for the fastest loads, the ability to use a different controller, no requirement to log online to check the run time (LiveSplit plugin), easy access to practice files (DeS Save Organizer).

 

What's different on emu?

-Some missing/glitched graphics (Invisible shields, Phalanx not visible through fog, sun gleaming through walls), much faster loads even on HDD. Sometimes a high pitched noise plays for no reason. A glitch that removes audio, main menu title and causes dialogue to be skipped automatically can happen, which makes the run invalid.

 

How do you check accurate IGT?

-Using the LiveSplit plugin that reads IGT made by CapitaineToinon.

 

What skips/glitches are in this?

-Dupe glitch, Armor Spider/Old Hero skips, 3-1 skip, 4-1 skip, 5-1/5-2 skips and some quit outs that teleport the character a bit forward.

 

What great mechanics are in this game?

-Baby rolls, side rolls, inconsistent fall damage

-Running R1 Dregling, roll R1 obstacles, get Turpentine

-Fall down from bottom of 2nd staircase

-Pull lever, use Turpentine on Axe, 2H

 

BOSS: Phalanx

-Run for 2 seconds, throw 4 Firebombs, adjust aim after 3rd

-R1 Phalanx, Firebomb Mini-Phalanx

-Get Shard of Hardstone (if not, buy from 2-1 Filthy Man)

-Return to Nexus with Archstone

 

-Buy Dagger

-Go to Monumental

-Put Dagger on RH2 after stamina depletes

-Use Nexial Binding after Monumental

-Go to 2-1

-Shoot vases with Bow to let the dogs out

-Dagger running R1 Scale Miner

-Do 2-1 skip (30FPS)

1: Roll over edge after 2nd staircase, fall off, load profile

2: Fall off, load profile

3: Quit out

-Do 2-1 skip (60FPS)

1: Stand on edge holding shield up (easy to see foot in air)

2: put character's head on right edge of lower level wall

3: roll on invisible platform and roll down to the left, then roll OoB close to Scale Miner

4: Jog off (don't run), load profile x2 (unless you fall into the tunnel)

 

-Go right

-Dupe Sticky White Stuff on 2H Dagger, kill 3rd Scale Miner on the left, get drops (2H R1 x2)

1: Roll, use consumable to be duped after legs hit ground, open menu, use item and mash X (O, ロ, ►, X [mash])

-Roll to the right

-Fall down x4, roll down

-Get Fullmoon Grass

 

BOSS: Flamelurker

-Dupe Sticky White Stuff

-R1 behind him

 

-Swap to Axe

 

BOSS: Dragon God

-R1 x2 1st pillar x2, hide and heal, R1 x2 2nd pillar (in the corner to avoid clashing), wait until he punches to guarantee head bops

-Activate spear

-Fall down stairs

-R1 pillars, walk until he roars, run to break last pillars, activate spear

-Get Master's Ring, equip it to right slot

-Fall cancel Sticky White Stuff on Axe (30FPS)

-Roll R1, R1 x2, Sticky White Stuff, R1 x2, R1 x2, R1 (8 hits, Santzo safe strat)

-R1 chin spike x10 (2H Roll R1, R1 x2, R1 x3, R1 x3, R1) - Regain stamina just above thin line)

-Fall cancel Sticky White Stuff on Dagger (60FPS), R1 x4 repeatedly

-Take off helmet, armor and gauntlets

-Return to Nexus with Archstone

 

 

-Use Dragon God's soul

-Do Dupe glitch

1: Parry, use Nexial Binding, open menu, use item, press Start (L2, ロ, ►, X, ►)

2: Deposit dupable item (eg. Soul), cancel Nexial Binding animation

3: Take duped item

-Dupe Shard of Hardstone, Large Hardstone Shard, Chunk of Hardstone

-Upgrade Battle Axe to +9, Long Bow to +8

-Level up Endurance 15, Strength 34

-Go to 3-1

-Get Prison of Hope Key 3, use Nexial Binding (Running 2H R1 to kill Mindflayer)

-Go back, open door, reload (avoid Mindflayer)

Do 3-1 skip

1: Run off rail, run off again and roll

2: Backstep near last fence stick, roll down

-Roll through arrows

Roll once, run, roll and tank hit after getting Clever Rat's Ring, toggle, roll again

-Equip CRR, go up and kill the Prisoner with Bow (slow down camera speed for easier aiming, speed up after boss)

-Fall down and go to boss

 

BOSS: Fool's Idol

-2H R1 Axe x2, R2 x2

-Put helmet, armor and gauntlets back on during elevators

-QO close to the top of the stairs to reset elevator cycle

-Cut off 1st chain

-Activate jail elevator directly opposite of stairs and get on top of it

-Roll off to pier

-QO on bridge before elevator (you can keep running if you didn't get blocked by Man Centipedes or backstab prisoners)

-Get on elevator, hug left side to avoid Gargoyle

-Break 2nd chain

-Run to boss

 

BOSS: Maneaters

-Enter fight, shoot with Bow x3, use Turpentine (delay to avoid cancelling)

-2H R1 x7

-Circle clockwise and R1 intermittedly if they float in mid-air

 

-1H R1 the Mini-Centipedes, running R1 Mindflayers, use Turpentine (faster death animation)

 

BOSS: Old Monk

-2H R1 x4, backstab

-Use Nexial Binding

-Run on right side of plank before Shaman

-Use Royal Lotus near fog gate, enter, swap Master's to Thief's and back before boss

 

BOSS: Dirty Colossus

-Use Black Turpentine, don't hit left arm

-2H R1 x7

-Go left, bait Garl Vinland to attack, roll, backstab and 2H R1 x4

-Heal, run to Astraea and complete dialogue

-Go to boss, toggle escape 2 bolts for CRR (have above 3/4 max HP) Safety strat: block first bolt, then toggle

 

BOSS: Adjudicator

-Drop down, hit wound 1H R1 x2

-Swap Master's to Cat's Ring

-Drop down to shortcut

-Do Old Hero skip (load profile)

-Run off, get close to fog to activate boss

 

BOSS: Storm King

-Kill 6 small Mantas

-Swap Cat's Ring to Thief's Ring, run past Storm Ruler

-Shoot Storm King as it approaches x8 (lock-on middle)

-Use Nexial Binding

-Swap Thief's to Master's, equip Blue Eye Stone

 

BOSS: Old King Allant

-Use Black Turpentine, bait attack, 2H R1 x17

-Bait attack with Blue Eye Stone

-Roll through Old One, skip dialogue

-Take off helmet, armor and gauntlets after 2nd thorns

-Roll to break 4th thorns before dialogue and skip it
