    Q. What are you trying to do?
  4. 4
    A. I'm trying to beat the game as quickly as possible. This is a modified version of the game where you win 15 cards at the end of each duel instead of just one, which is a very popular way of playing nowadays. Anyone who has played this game knows that it is usually a slog of a grind to get the cards needed to beat the end-game opponents, and one must rely on a lot of luck.

    Q. Why are you resetting so often?
  7. 7
    A. If I'm at the beginning of a run, it's probably because the starter deck wasn't good enough. I need a decent foundation to be able to beat the game, and since the starter deck is the first random thing that can make or break a run, it's worth an early reset to get something good. My requirements are: 1 dragon + 1 thunder, or 2 thunders. Raigeki is preferred.

    Q. Why aren't you using RNG (random number generator) manipulation?
  10. 10
    A. RNG manip in this game is technically impressive and cool, but not fun at all to play or grind. The categories are separate for a reason, and manipless is way more competitive as many agree with me! If I were to be using RNG manip, the kinds of things that would be manipulated are the starter deck, and drops to win OP cards at the beginning, and then also manipping the enemies to play weak cards.

    Q. What are the hardest fights in this run?
  13. 13
    A. Many fights in the run can kill it if I draw bad, and the opponent draws well. Main choke points include...
  14. 14
In the early game: Keith, Bakura if no raigeki, Pegasus
  15. 15
In the mid-late game: High Mage Kepura, High Mage Anubisius
  16. 16
In the final 6: Heishin, Seto 3rd, Darknite, Nitemare (aka the final four)

    Q. What strategies are you using to farm?
  19. 19
    A. The main cards I want to be able to beat the game with are equips that work on my Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon, which is a card that's relatively strong and easy to play. The best place to get equips is by A-Tecing Pegasus, which is a strategy I will employ. If I don't get good drops from my Pegasus A-Tec, with the time I'm aiming for, I don't have time to try another, so it's a reset from that point. Unless I magically won some good stuff in other places.

    Q. What time are you aiming for?
  26. 26
    A. Right now, I want to get past the mental barrier of achieving then sub-1:20, and I'll be adjusting my strategies to aim for that time.

  29. 29
    A. I just recently switched to Linux and haven't got a proper one up and running yet :p
