    Q: Where have you been?

    A: After getting the DP Glitchless WR in Nov 2024, I honestly had next to 0 interest in playing PSR. The only times I have ever touched the games since then was 3 streams of Battle Revolution in April 2025, and 3 Days of Platinum Glitchless Attempts for the Barrier Blitz event.

    My entire 8 years of playing PSR I have done virtually nothing other than exclusively play for WR, and I think I just burnt out from the consistent top level play and pressure. I was barely having any fun anymore, so I decided to just walk away and only really play for events etc.

    This is really an experiment, I'm playing exclusively for fun, with the route that started it all for me. This is in no way a return, just seeing how things go, so to anyone thinking about asking me about future plans or projects, I truly have no idea.

    Q: Why are you playing this?

    A: It's been almost 6 years since I played this route, but after some recent conversations with Minnow about this category, I thought it would be fun to return to again! This is the first speedrun, category and route I EVER used, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. Basically, I've gone back to this route with the knowledge we have now, to see what I can improve and see what kinda time I can get.

    As my motivation for top level is non-existent at the moment, playing some other stuff seems like a fun way to still get to play these games because I do miss running them.

    Q: So what's new?

    A: There's two main things, Extended Manip, and Plasma Skip.

    1. Extended Manip: This allows me to extend past the Xtransceiver calls on Route 1 and 2, to prevent encounters on Route 2, get a consistent Pansage, skip Striaton center and guarantee my flyer. We previously knew this was possible, and for those of you who followed me in 2020 you may remember I actually tried this at the time with extremely limited success.

    2. Plasma Skip: The coolest strategy this game ever got. This involves using dust clouds to skip past Team Plasma members in Chargestone Cave. You'll have seen this in regular Any%, but the version I'm doing here is actually better than what my Any% WR has, with skipping 5 trainers instead of 4.

    Q: So what's the goal time?

    A: I always wanted to get a 3:14 with Tepig, but honestly with all this new stuff I think it can go a bit lower, so I'm not sure but I just want to get a solid run with some new strats.

    1. I failed the extended manip.

    Q: Why do you name yourself "S" and Tepig "Z"?

    A: Having a 1 character name saves time, and my name begins with S. Also Z is the superior letter, that's why.

    Q: Why Black and not White?

    A: The only major difference is here is the legendary you get at the end of the game. In Black you get Reshiram and in White you get Zekrom. Reshiram is better at killing Zekrom, which makes it preferable to have. Additionally, the order N sends his pokes out is different depending on if Reshiram or Zekrom is on the field. He will send out Carracosta against Reshiram but Vanilluxe against Zekrom.

    There's some minor stuff too, like you fight Iris instead of Drayden in White. Iris' Druddigon does not have Rough Skin in White unlike Drayden's, which saves a couple seconds in the ability activation, but also potentially saves you a healing menu as well.

    Q: What are the grades? (A+/A/B/C)

    A: These are actually more for the benefit of the viewer, to see how good the segments were in my PB, with A+ being the best, and C being the worst. Shows easily that losing time to an A+ segment isn't that bad, but losing time against a C segment is really bad. It also allows viewers to see where I'm expected to be able to save large amounts of time.
